The event drew a large and diverse crowd, spanning generations of New Yorkers from the LGBTQ community and more.
Love & Resistance: Stonewall 50 illustrates the recent LGBTQ history through the photographs of Kay Tobin Lahusen and Diana Davies, who captured the pivotal events of this era and changed the ways that LGBTQ people perceived themselves.
Featured alongside these images are other items from the library’s archival holdings, including ephemera, periodicals, and more. The exhibition runs through July 14, 2019.
